Fromage Walking Tour

“Man what a taste sensation. As Kath & Kim would say - "We felt so effluent" drinking quality gin and champagne, eating the most tasty cheeses the cow, goat and sheep gods could produce. Starting in the heart of Northbridge on our walking fromage (cheese for the unwashed) tour with Two Feet & a Heartbeat tour group we first headed for Kakulas Bros where we had the opportunity to taste a variety of their herbs and take some away with us plus also tasting 4 different varieties of cheese. We then headed across into the heart of Perth ending up at a new gin-joint, The Flour Factory on Queen where we were greeted with food platters to die for and where with a spin of 'the wheel' dictated the type of gin we would be drinking. Thinking this could not get much better we headed for St Georges Terrace ending up in a space formally occupied by the old WA Club ensconced in a basement in a bank vault (don't you mind!) once owned by the R&I Bank! OMG, the company that now inhabits this space - Fromage Artisans - need to take a bow. The cheese platters that greeted us were the most amazing cheese taste sensation my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Accompanied and washed down with a quality Prosecco Champagne we thought we had died and gone to heaven! Some 200 glorious minutes later, with a great big grin on both our faces we left Fromage Artisans, emerging from the depths of the bank vault back onto St Georges Tce where we wandered off into the evening feeling totally satisfied with our afternoon!”
