Accessibility

Last reviewed 2026-06-13

At Two Feet & a Heartbeat we believe everyone should be able to share in our tours and experiences, regardless of ability. We work to make our website, tours and venues accessible, and we adapt to the needs of individual guests wherever we can. If you have specific requirements, tell us when you book and we will prepare accordingly.

We hold a Quality Tourism Australia accessibility accreditation — you can download our full accessibility report.

On your tour

Parking

Accessible parking bays are available close to most of our meeting points. If you'd like details for a specific tour, let us know and we'll send directions to the nearest step-free option.

Public transport

Our tours begin in central locations well connected by bus and train. We're happy to give clear, step-by-step directions from the nearest station to the meeting point.

Routes

Surfaces and gradients vary, but we will always adapt the route to suit mobility needs. Step-free alternatives are available on most of our city tours, and we can adjust pacing and include extra rest breaks if needed.

Bathrooms

We can advise in advance on the nearest accessible bathrooms to your start and end points. For private tours we can schedule bathroom stops into the route.

Cognitive & sensory support

Our guides can use plain-language explanations, slower pacing and smaller group sizes. Written outlines of tour highlights are available on request, and quieter time slots or less crowded routes can be suggested for guests with sensory sensitivities. We provide clear, predictable schedules and detailed itineraries in advance to reduce uncertainty.

Assistive listening & communication

For larger private groups we can provide guides with voice projection or assistive listening support. Guides are trained to face guests while speaking to support lip reading, and written summaries can be provided on request. We can accommodate sign-language interpreters with notice.

Food allergies & dietary needs

On tours that include food and drink we can provide allergen information on request and accommodate dietary needs — including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan — where our partner venues allow. Please tell us your requirements when booking.

Emergency & safety

Our guides are trained to assist guests with mobility, sensory or cognitive needs in an emergency. Routes are chosen with safety in mind; please let us know in advance about any medical or accessibility requirements so we can prepare.

Service animals & carers

Registered assistance animals are welcome on all tours. Essential carers and Companion Card holders are accommodated — please mention this when booking.

Online accessibility

We build this website to modern accessibility standards. You can:

  • Navigate using a keyboard alone
  • Adjust text size or zoom without losing content
  • Read alternative text descriptions for images
  • Use screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver

All images include alternative text, forms use clear labels, and we use readable fonts with sufficient colour contrast.

Partner venues

Some tours finish in partner venues such as pubs, restaurants or cultural sites. Accessibility varies in historic buildings, but we will confirm step-free entry where available, suggest alternative venues if access is restricted, and give you clear information in advance if a venue has stairs or narrow doorways.

Feedback

Your feedback helps us improve. If you encounter any barrier or have a suggestion, contact us at info@twofeet.com.au.
