At Two Feet & A Heartbeat, we believe Perth and Fremantle should be open to everyone. We want our tours to be as inclusive as possible, and we’re here to make adjustments so you can enjoy the experience in comfort.

Getting Here
Parking
Accessible parking bays are available close to most of our meeting points. If you’d like details for a specific tour, let us know and we’ll send directions to the nearest step-free option.
Public Transport
Our tours begin in central locations that are well connected by bus and train. We’re happy to give clear, step-by-step directions from the nearest station to the meeting point.

During the Tour
Routes
- Surfaces and gradients can vary, but we will always adapt the route to suit mobility needs.
- Step-free alternatives are available on most of our city tours.
- We can adjust pacing and include extra rest breaks if needed.
Bathrooms
We can advise in advance on the nearest accessible bathrooms to your start and end points. For private tours we can schedule bathroom stops into the route.
Cognitive & Sensory Support
- Our guides can use plain-language explanations, slower pacing, and smaller group sizes.
- Written outlines of tour highlights are available on request.
- Quieter time slots and less crowded routes can be suggested for guests with sensory sensitivities.
Assistive Listening & Communication
- For larger private groups, we can provide guides with voice projection or assistive listening support so everyone can hear clearly.
- Guides are trained to face guests while speaking to support lip reading. Written summaries can be provided if requested.
Emergency & Safety
- Our guides are trained to assist guests with mobility, sensory, or cognitive needs in the event of an emergency.
- Routes are chosen with safety in mind, and we encourage guests to let us know in advance about any medical or accessibility requirements so we can prepare accordingly.
Service Animals & Carers
- Registered assistance animals are welcome on all tours.
- Essential carers and Companion Card holders are accommodated — please mention this when booking.

Venues & Facilities
Some of our tours finish in partner venues such as pubs, restaurants, or cultural sites. Accessibility varies in historic buildings, but we will:
- Confirm step-free entry where available
- Suggest alternative venues if access is restricted
- Provide clear information in advance if a venue has stairs or narrow doorways

Online Accessibility
Our website has been designed with accessibility in mind. You can:
- Navigate using a keyboard only
- Adjust text size or zoom without losing content
- Switch to high-contrast mode or use dyslexia-friendly fonts (via the settings menu)
- Read alternative text descriptions for images
- Access captions and transcripts for videos
- Use screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver — we test the site for compatibility
