Perth's Premier Pathways is a 2.5-hour walk from Perth Town Hall to Yagan Square through the arcades, laneways and street art most visitors miss: London Court, the State Buildings, Wolf Lane. It typically departs at 2:00 pm and finishes about 4:30 pm, with a beverage included. $69 adult, $45 child, and the pace is relaxed, which suits legs that have already done a week of sport.
Ideal timing: a rest day, since the 2:00 pm departure sits inside competition hours. Travelling parents and supporters can join any day of the week.
The squad bonder: private Scavenger Hunt
